Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs District Reasi
The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs District Reasi is entrusted with the responsibility of distribution of essential commodities under the Public Distribution System. The Department implemented the National Food Security Act, 2013 with the objective to provide access to adequate quantity of quality food at affordable prices. In addition, this department is also lifting and distributing the dry ration for Mid day meal scheme of school education, ICDS. This department also provide kerosene oil at subsidized rate to AAY /PHH families who do not have LPG connection.
The Department is also committed to protect the interest of the consumers and to create awareness amongst the consumers about their rights.
Over the years the Department has witnessed many changes and has kept itself abreast with the developments. Striving hard to achieve its multiple objectives and achieving its multitudinous functions, the Department has been instrumental in giving effect to various Schemes framed by the Government of India for the benefit of the Consumers. 100% data digitization has been done.
