Celebration of World Environment Day in Reasi

On the occasion of world environment day in Reasi forest division various awareness campaign & other public involving activities were carried out.
Plants were planted and distributed on the occasion in all three ranges amongst different Panchayat’s
Debate competition, Painting competition and Essay writing competition was also conducted on the theme ” Only One Earth ” at Govt Degree College, Reasi and polytechnic College Reasi Reasi by Reasi range.
In katra range ponds cleaning in forest areas at bagha and non forest at panthal was conducted and awareness walkathon in eve was organised in which 100 around students participated and during rally shopkeepers were asked not to use polythene and customer were distributed cloth bags and at the Shalimar park at katra where rally finished debate competition was organised .various officers of administration ,police ,tourism,katra hotelier and NGO participated.plants were distributed to all participants.
In thakrakote range also the pond cleaning exercise was conducted and plants were planted and distributed to locals. Plantation and cleanliness drive on the occasion of World Environment Day were carried out
at Bhimgarh Fort , Rishi chowk and Sullah park in which a no of individuals participated & took pledge to keep the environment clean & pristine. Awareness w.r.t. Eradication of single use plastic was also spread
